Here's Where To Find The Best Cat Flea Medicine
If you have even one cat, you have to worry about cat flea medicine. You may think because your cat does not go outdoors, you have nothing to worry about. Take it from me, you do. If one flea manages to find your cat through the window screen or through any other means, they are going to latch on and multiply like, well, fleas. Fleas aren’t something that happens to dirty homes or pets that go outdoors. They truly are tricky little critters that can pop up anywhere.
Cat flea medicine used to be flea powder or a flea collar. A flea collar always worked well for me, even when a neighbor once brought fleas over to my home. He never treated his dog, and the poor thing was covered with fleas. The dog never came in my home, but the owner did to use the phone, and he brought them along. I know this because a few bit me. My cat however, stayed flea-less with the power of her collar. Today though, you can get cat flea medicine that works even better than a collar.
When I first heard of cat flea medicine that is applied directly to the skin of the cat, I thought it was only available threw your veterinarian. I am not sure if that was true but I do know you can get cat flea medicine in your local grocery store if it has a pet section. I’ve never used it myself, but my mom loves it. She has three cats and a dog, so she has to be extra careful about flea protection. She tells me that they stuff from the grocery store works very well, and there is no need to get it from your veterinarian if you don’t want to.
This type of cat flea medicine is applied in drops to the back of the neck. My mom says it is rather easy, but she does say that her cats are mad for a good 24 hours after she has applied the cat flea medicine. Even the cat that snuggles with her every time she gets a moment to sit down usually snubs her for a bit after application. The vet assures her that it is not painful, so perhaps it is the indignation of it all. I’m not sure. What I do know is that she swears by this type of cat flea medicine and she is glad it is out there when she needs it.
